Salem City’s goal for the Children’s Parade is to encourage all of its children to come and celebrate youth and vitality.
PARADE ROUTE:
We will begin at Salem Elementary School on the North side (Center Street). Children are encouraged to line up before 5:30pm in the ‘small’ parking lot as we will begin promptly at 5:30pm. The children will be walking east on Center Street, turning left into the Downtown Ball Park between the two fields (NOT THE PARKING LOT). All participants will receive a popsicle and award at the Snack Shack.
So get your family, friends, scout groups, activity day groups, ball teams, swim teams, wards together. Make a float, decorate your bikes, scooters, wagons, etc. and come celebrate with us!
NO MOTORIZED VEHICLES UNLESS AUTHORIZED.
If you are planning on making a float, please call Jesicca so that she can put you in the line up.
We are thrilled to be having our Salem Police patrol and block streets for us, Salem’s Fire Dept. to drive a fire truck to start our parade off, and Salem’s Ambulance crew drive an ambulance for us.
AFTER THE PARADE:
1) the Baby Contest winners will be announced.
2) children will be allowed to visit with the Ambulance crew and view the ambulance.
3) fire department will be spraying their hose high into the air for the kids to play in.
Registration is NOT required.
